I am a multimedia artist, living and working in Champaign, Illinois. I love messy art materials - charcoal, paint, clay. Currently drawing is the focus and the foundation of my practice. I value it for its expressiveness, and its fragility suits my current experiments with time. But paint and clay hold time differently, they are sturdy, and they have weight. I am also interested in media that involve a strict step-by-step process but lead to an outcome that surprises me.
In the past 9 years, I have met so many great people through my classes at Parkland College, showing with Prism Studios in Champaign, and through the online community with the Thrive Together Network, I look forward to deepening and widening that community.
Day to day, I move among my work in the studio, maintaining my home and supporting my loved ones, drinking coffee, and watching the seasons change.
